I could talk for days about how wonderful my puppies are. OKAY, they aren't really puppies anymore. The light one, Khaleesi is 2 years now (yes, we are GOT fans) and the brindle, Tiger is 1.5! They will always be my little babies though. The breed they are is Akita Inu (aka Japanese Akitas)... Have you ever heard of the story Hachiko? There is movie on Netflix about it called Hachi and it's based on the true story of Hachiko. You can find it HERE. It is the sweetest movie ever, and I guarantee that you will shed a few tears! Just demonstrates how loyal and loving these pups are.
Anyways, since I've been pregnant, they are so gentle with me and cuddle my belly ALL THE TIME. Especially Tiger, he is so protective around me and won't let anyone or anything come in between us. He is my gentle guardian and always makes sure I'm okay. For instance, the other day, I was having Braxton Hick contractions mixed with sciatic nerve pain so it was decently painful and Tiger came over and was SO concerned. He came and gave me kisses and hugs to make sure I was okay and also got Andrews attention to help me. CUTEST THING EVER. Goodness, I love that boy.
We also babysat our friends 1 year old baby the other day and the puppies were so excited (they haven't been able to play with babies or kids since we lived in Utah 6 months ago). Khaleesi followed the baby around the ENTIRE TIME making sure she was constantly safe. It was kind of hilarious. I also love that Khaleesi doesn't lick so I don't have to worry about that. She does give eskimo kisses though. It's adorable! BUT OKAY, I'll stop just wanted to give these dogs some blog lovin' because they are so good and I don't know what I'd do without them! <3
MY GOODNESS! Time is flying by and going SO slow at the same time. 31 WEEKS ALREADY!
I'm starting to get pretty uncomfortable over here. Being only 5'3, I don't have much room in my body so i have nowhere to go but out! Every stranger I meet thinks I'm 9 months and about to pop haha. Golly, if I already look like this now, what am i going to look like when I'm actually 9 months? I guess we will just have to see! It's also funny because strangers also have zero problems coming up and telling me their life stories and touching my belly! haha! I don't really mind but sometimes I'm just in a hurry and they just keep talking. It's kind of cute and hilarious at the same time. People are so nice! I also can't remember the last time I opened a door for myself or picked something up off the ground in public.
Being pregnant is hands down one of the coolest things I have ever experienced. I love it when baby S kicks me and moves around in my belly. There are some select times where her kicking and maneuvering around has been pretty painful. I swear sometimes she finds the most awkward spots inside my body to post up. AND MY RIBS, oh my gosh, she loves pushing up inside of them! She even hit a nerve there that sends shooting pains in my back. Goodness! She is a feisty little thing, and I cannot wait to meet her! But other than that nonsense, she is so fun to play with. I absolutely love taking night time baths because I love watching my belly go crazy. Every time I poor water overtop my bump, or hum a little tune, or poke at her, she responds and pokes right back! It is SO MUCH FUN. I love her! Same thing goes for when Andrew and I first wake up in the morning, she is most active early in the morning (probably cuz she wants food, haha) but we just sit there in awe admiring all her movements and responses. I can't even imagine how we will be when she is actually here! haha! we will never be able to get anything done. She also loves it when Andrew talks to her! If I'm ever worried because she hasn't moved in a little while, I always have Andrew talk to my belly and she immediately starts moving! Already a Daddy's girl :) I'm so lucky to have such an amazing husband and baby daddy! He also took these cute pics for us. He is the sweetest :)
